Longtime co-workers, and casual friends, Louise and Tony have known each other since Tony arrived in Belgium in the fall of 2016. While working at the same international school in Brussels, Louise and Tony would often see each other at social events on-campus, off-campus, and always at Louise (and her sister Becca!)'s annual Christmas Ugly-Sweater Party!
Since they never had the opportunity to see each other one-on-one, Tony would often say that they should get together at some point - "no pressure, and if the timings ever worked out, great"! They eventually committed to making this happen, but Tony didn't make it easy between having a water polo match the first evening Louise suggested and having COVID for three weeks following (unknown to Louise who thought Tony wasn't interested). However, once Tony recovered he reached out ...right in time for Belgium's second lockdown!
Tony and Louise resorted to some classic COVID first dates, including walking (masked) outside in the local parks with Louise's french bulldog Nova. After several park dates, Louise asked Tony to be one of her assigned "cuddle contacts" permitted in Belgium (so funny if you're unfamiliar), and their love story began!
Louise and Tony have enjoyed four years so far of fun and adventure, accumulating many air miles along the way. With their love for travel, and passion for good wine and food (potatoes in any form being Louise's ultimate ingredient, and Tony being a pasta-loving Italian-American), they deeply value the many places they have been lucky enough to visit and friends that have been made along the way - so much so that guests are travelling from as many as 15 different countries for the wedding!
Happily together since 2020, with a lifetime to go. <3
